Is this just another side effect from the anti-depressants?!

Question: Is this just another side effect from the anti-depressants?
I started taking Zoloft a few months ago for my anxiety. I have been having a lot of crazy side effects, more namely weight loss and occasional insomnia.

However, it's also been making me dream a lot more and a lot more vividly. I can usually easily tell when I'm dreaming, because they are always odd or unrealistic. But recently, I've been having very vivid dreams about things that would be completely normal, and I have trouble remembering if it was a dream or if it actually happened. Right now it's just little things like what I had for breakfast or little unimportant conversations I have with people.

But I'm afraid it may get worse... so is it being caused by the anti-depressants?

This is stuff you need to discuss with the doctor who is prescribing to you. It's very hard to say whether these are reasonable unintended effects or not.

i would say it is a side effect. i am on celexa and started having vivid dreams right away, and ones that seemed real. i asked my dr about it, and you should do.

the dreams are common from antidepressants, lie back and enjoy them they do no harm and arent important
