Anger problems, what to do now?!


Question: Anger problems, what to do now?
Hi, I would just like some quick advice on the best way to go about controlling my anger problems that are very quickly getting out of control. I am constantly angry and agitated so as soon as anything, that annoys me even slightly happens, I want to smash and throw things, I can't help swearing and shouting and although I never have I feel I may be unable to control my anger against someone else and I may take it out on them.

I am thinking about CBT or some kind of anger management?? How much do they cost and how do I join?

Just a thought - I find that people whose father did not play a big role in their childhood have anger issues.

I think you could find a relatively inexpensive anger management program in your community. It's not that unusual of a problem. Have you searched the web? It's a great thing that you are addressing this issue.



Try to exercise more. If you're a little tired but filled with the happiness caused by exercise you won't be as angry. You could try meditating to specific music and then remembering your breathing technique whenever upset. Breath in less than you breath out. Chew gum. Try to think about exactly why you're angry, and if nothing can be done, join a poetic or prose-based community and write about your problems (live journal? I'm not sure what..) If you are religious, ask your pastor. Force yourself to think that you are not getting angry rather than wallowing in your thoughts of anger. Change the subject. Do things that make you happy without isolating yourself from others. Practice.

Hmmm..I'm starting to act like that too.
But for me I think it's just stress because of exams :/

I would probably recommend relaxing more often..to clear your head..
