Question: Why do i think about dogs all the time?
So when i was growing up i never had a dog in the house right. And the first time i ever got a dog was when i moved into a house share with these lads who had a big male japanese akita and i had to admit it did look nice. Anyway the never walked it at all and i felt so sorry for the dog i started taking it for walks and eventually a bond grew between us.
He was such a strong dog and i remember fondly wrestling with him over a stick in the park and rolling around on the soft warm grass in the summer. People would slow down in their cars to look at him he was so beautiful. But sadly the lads decided sell him because they wanted money for drugs and alcohol. I will never forget the day he left, nor will i forget the good times in the park and the long deep baths we shared.
Now whenever i see a proud male dog my knees tingle and i try to talk to the owner to get close and touch the dog but my words come out all mumbled and one person called me a pervert when i started to touch his dog and told me he knew what i was doing.
I feel so lost without him and i wish i could get another one but i simply can't afford it. I have looked for company's that let you hire a dog just for the night but i don't think they exist. Why can't i keep dogs off my mind?

Because those who have a natural affinity with dogs do that, and you have compassion. Could you not get a dog that is looking for a new home, perhaps from someone who is unable to continue to care for one maybe through ill health or a forced issue, or from a rehoming centre where good homes are always needed for the animals in their care. You can't "hire a dog" but maybe someone knows of a dog that needs walking when an owner is working.
get one at the pound, heck get a bunch! theyre cheap friendly and needed to be home
