My depressed friend thinks I am struggling with depression?!

Question: My depressed friend thinks I am struggling with depression?
I think I am to. I told him my symptoms and he thinks I should tell my mom to take me to a doctor. Me and my mom don't have that kind of relationship and she's already struggling with money because of a recent divorce. Is there some sort of online doctor I could chat with? I know there are depression hotlines but I would be too embarassed to talk to someone using my voice.

So the question is: Links to any online chats with doctors?

If you're in school or college, you may try to talk to a counselor who could evaluate you and see if a referral is appropriate -- at that point, you would have sufficient cause for your mom to take you to the doctor.

Ask here? Ask a friend or teacher? I'd really think about speaking to your mum, but don't worry yourself with it if your not up for that.

Why are you asking for some online doctors? are you embarrassed in your situation. You should see a professional in person to be assured that the advice that you will get will be sincere.
