No. Things like therapy, social skills training, certain medications, and simply time and practice can help autistic people function effectively in society. But there is no way to cure autism - and many people on the spectrum don't believe there should be!

On the autism spectrum

as of yet there is no cure for autism. but with the medications that we now have they can live a fairly normal life. my grandson is 9 and has a form of autism. he is a very loving child but has his moments where he will beat his head against things and gets a look on his face that lets you know to leave him alone. due to his autism he is a little slow in school but loves to learn new things. he loves to make friends and doesn't understand if someone doesn't want to be friends with him. i hope that soon they will come up with a cure for it.

While there is no real cure for Autism it can be controlled with modifications to ones diet including avoiding artificial sweeteners like Aspartame and Splenda.

I have Asperger's Syndrome which is a High Functioning form of Autism.
