I suspect that my 10 year old may have been abused! help?!

Question: I suspect that my 10 year old may have been abused! help?
she came home from school late, all messy, (she walks home) and ran straight to her room before i could ask what happened! she won't say anything, but her sister, 12, has been talking about this creepy guy who always sits on a park bench that they have to walk by. Maybe I'm just paranoid. any advice?

Answers:

you should ask her where he is and go see him and if that doesn't help ask your 12 yr old if she saw anything like that if she says yes pick her up from school or talk to someone hope this advice works sorry

Definitely ask her questions but try not to scare or alarm her because she might not be as willing to divulge such traumatic information (if it happened). It would be like reliving the whole experience over again. Just try and be subtle about it.

If the need arises or applies then I would take her to be examined to determine if there were any external or internal injuries in that area. If sexual abuse has occurred, it is imperative that you take the steps necessary to prosecute the SOB.

aside from talking to her (which is really important) walk with her to school many times, and try to see if you can change the way she goes. don't report this guy but mention him to authorities or the school. make sure your other daughter is not making this creepy guy up or exaggerating

If this keeps happening it may sound stalkerish but watch her walk home also try to talk to her asks her what happened b sympathetic hope I helped :)

and why are you waiting to get help? reach out to your schools resources and mostly, your pediatrician. your daughter first, the boy second.

Your not paranoid, but you should tell your 12 year old daughter to watch her more carefully. You should hide somewhere nearby to make sure she is safe.

Oh i am so sorry, try asking your daughter if she feels comfortable talking to the school counseler

I should let you know that somethings up !!!
Ask them what's wrong or do something of your own and if you talk to her don't be rough at all or anything !!! Just help them out.

Good luck:)

Her sister could ask her about what has happened. It is more likely that she will tell something more to her peer

I'd go kill that old Bastard. Right now.
