Why do you never sleep with the lights on?!

Question: Why do you never sleep with the lights on?
Answers:

I don't like anything ON...
from clothes....lights.. tv,..... fans....
maybe some soft music..

1) It uses more power, costing more, and power use should be limited for ecological reasons.
2) So you can sleep better. It is preferable to sleep in a very dark room, as the brain stops producing the sleep hormone, melatonin, when it perceives light levels above that of a full moon.

Most people can't sleep deeply enough when it's too light in the room where they are sleeping because it disturbs their circadian rhythms. Some of us who work graveyard shift, have no issue sleeping when it's light out and have found ways to adjust our rhythms to suit our schedules.

It saves power, but I have been know to drop off before reaching the switch occasionally.

Because when you are out in the sun you feel exited or any feeling but sleepy right? And your brain will percieve the lights as the sun and therefore you cant sleep

If I see shadows of anything I get nervous. Seeing nothing gives me nothing to imagine about.

It feels like my eyes can't rest when there's too much light. The dark is restful. Since people are naturally diurnal, we're meant to sleep in the dark.

Because the room has to be pitch black or else I can't sleep

XxX

Distractions.

Because the light keeps me awake.

Because its easier to sleep with the lights off. O.o...

I'm a goth

lol

No, complete darkness.

not scared of the dark :)

What would be the point? My eyes are closed.
