How do you get a family member to except that they might have schizophrenia?!

Question: How do you get a family member to except that they might have schizophrenia?
My older sister has almost all the symptoms of disorganized schizophrenia. She was even the one to tell me this. I try to tell her she needs help, but she says she doesn't have it. My mom won't believe me. I looked it up online, it seems as though she has severe schizophrenia too. I told her to take a screening quiz on psychcentral, a very trusted website. If you score 15 it means you might have it, she scored like 40. I'm very scared now. I think I may have it too, because if someone has it, it means that someone in there family may have it too. I have symptoms of schizophrenia. How am I supposed to get anyone to believe me?

Why do you need to put labels on people, and control them? Keep a safe distance, then leave them be.
Everyone knows right and wrong and in time learns to live harmoniously among his peers.

one word.
DOCTOR.
if the doctor tells her, she should believe him.
or get it on video some way and show it to her.
good luck! and best wishes to your family.

My son has it( he's 28 years old now). It's a serious matter. One of the biggest and most dangerous problems with schizophrenia is most people that have it refuse to believe they have it!

There is medication available but like with me you are to close to the problem. Perhaps you both go to be tested by a professional. Thank God my son has accepted his condition. He's 6'6" and 290 lbs and that's not a good thing for someone that big to freak out.

I believe he got it from his mother's side. Believe me you'd have to meet some of those people to see what I mean. Talk about scary! Good luck.
