Anyone know what withdrawal from Lamictal is like? I want to stop the med.?!

Question: Anyone know what withdrawal from Lamictal is like? I want to stop the med.?
I take Effexor and Lamictal for depression but neither work. I want off both. I feel like I'm getting hives all over my body today and I know Lamictal is known for skin issues - very dangerous ones. I want to stop the Lamictal possibly today if I do have a rash. Am I going to go nutso getting off this drug? I've gone off SSRIs before (Zoloft) and am fully aware of the hell you go through. But this isn't an SSRI. Any ideas?

All antidepressants work differently for different people. You never want to abruptly stop taking one of your medications on your own. Your psychiatrist can slowly wean you off of your medications without any withdrawal symptoms. There is a right one or combination that will work for you and you should be patient and try others. You can live a happy and productive life with the right medications. For further information about your medications and side effects you need to talk to the pharmacist who fills your prescriptions as he is the expert in all medications. He knows more about them than your doctor.
