Answers:

It's dangerous to withdrawal from medication without the consent and supervision of your psychiatrist or other physician.

Years ago I thought I didn't need my medication so I quit taking it. I endured 3 months of hellish insomnia and developed severe unrelenting anxiety. I wish now I had not quit taking it, I think I would be much better today. I should have gone to my psychiatrist and discussed the problems I was having.

So you should talk to your doctor first. And you need to discuss your reasons for wanting to discontinue Zyprexa. Perhaps he/she can prescribe something else; there are lots of other psychotropic meds.

Pshycotropic drugs needs severe supervision from the doctor, he or she is the one who can allow you to change the dosage.

Olazapine is a common psychiatric drug for the treatment of bipolar disorder, and this is a condition where minimizing the dosage could be dangerous as it could extend the lower stages of this disease, your doctor have to know this.

you do need to it under the supervision of your dr ideally

is it a tablet or is it a capsule if it is a capsule then you cant break it in half!
if u cant get to the Dr's then at least talk to the dr by phone
best wishes
