This sounds like something her Oncologist needs to know. He is the one who can help your mom. All doctors welcome input from family members although it is against the law for him to tell you anything about your mom's health without her permission. There are medications that can help your mom with her appetite. Do you have relatives, family who are close by who can stop in and help your mom?

i know you really want your mum to eat, but because of treatment shes having will be making her feel like she doesnt want to eat. Make sure your mum drinks ensures, or the supplement drinks that the doctor has given her. they dont really taste very nice, and you dont get the same nutrients you get from food in them, as they are NOT a replacement meal, they are just supplements, ask your mums nurses or doctor for some.

you sound so very busy,i assuming perhaps your mums illness has lost her some of her appetite maybe meals are too much for her what about leaving her some fruit around and some of her favourite things even if it is chocolate! Maybe little and often if there is little bits there maybe she wll feel like picking at them more ,don't worry you sound as if you are doing just fine but eating anything is much better than nothing.Could you talk to her doctors i'm sure they will be able to give you more advice on what is best to do,try to make sure she has lots of fluids perhaps also is there a friend/family member who could pop in once a day to ease the pressure from you a little bit you need to look after yourself too. xxxxxxx
