I'm fifteen and suffering with depression...how do I get help?!

Question: I'm fifteen and suffering with depression...how do I get help?
I've been suffering for two years. I've told one friend, but not my parents. Is there a way I could just go to the doctor and get an antidepressant prescription without my parents knowing? Or any other way? Is it expensive?

tell your counselor about your problem, the he/she will contact your parents and if they fell its necessary the counselor will prob contact the districts child physcologist and then that person will do a physic evaluation then if its neccisarry put u on antis at last resort

Antis are horrible. They rarely help, especially at that age. Trust me I was on Welbutrin at 16 and they really messed me up. The best remedy that I found for depression was exercise. Getting out and running or just going swimming, even doing sit ups or crunches really helps. When you build up adrenaline something just happens and you feel less shitty. It doesn't last forever but it really does help. It's much better than drugs. And doctors rarely really give a **** about the patient.

Also, what really helps is talking to a friend and spending time with people who are important. Also making new friends and faking being social helps to actually overcome some of this stuff.

u can always contact a depression hotline or something.
*Hope I helped!
