Are these due to Aspergers, OCD or just a habit?!
Question: Are these due to Aspergers, OCD or just a habit?
Answers:
People with Asperger's syndrome are usually hypersensitive, and as a consequence do the kinds of things you're describing to avoid discomfort. You don't describe your situation much: do you hate certain materials because they feel bad against your skin, and materials rubbing because you can feel or hear it? Or is it for another reason? Repetitive movements are also a part of Asperger's (and OCD, but they are done differently -- the repetitive behaviors of OCD tend to be more specific to times of day or triggers, and are often related to fears and superstitions, while repetitive movements in Asperger's happen all the time and in response to general stress). If you haven't been diagnosed, however, these alone do not mean that you have a neurological disorder, but if you are diagnosed then I would say it's expected.
ITS CALLED BEING COMFORTABLE!
