I had this, I stopped with the caffeine, stopped eating sugar, and I started doing light cardio and my brain fog cleared up. My anxiety also went away.

Its tough to change your lifestyle but believe me its worth it. Oh and also drink water if nothing else!!

I'm with Deni on this one. Diet and exercise can totally change the way your brain functions.
For me, I didn't realise that I was wheat intolerant. I had many experiences of complete inability to think straight. I couldn't remember names, phone numbers etc, and I even began to get so confused I couldn't recognise my own house or car! Scary stuff! I eventually had to stop driving because, when I DID recognise my car (haha) I began to lose the ability to concentrate, and eventually nearly had a head-on collision as I'd accidently driven onto the wrong side of the road without realising it!
I eventually found out I have a number of food intolerances, the big one being wheat, of which one of the symptoms is mental confusion and failing memory. I haven't eaten wheat now for over a year and guess what - I have a nice clear mind, am once again a safe driver and have my excellent memory back.
I'd suggest trying to cut down on processed foods - try to eat natural foods, and perhaps see a naturopath or a dietitian about how you've been feeling. It may be as simple as cutting out a specific food from your diet!
