I think I have a rare mental disorder?!

Question: I think I have a rare mental disorder?
I feel that I am not a real person. I feel like I am dead and just a corpse. Everyone thinks I'm playing or lying. but I've felt this way for so long. I just feel completely DEAD, like I'm a living dead girl or a zombie or something. What the hell is wrong with me?

This is actually a common symptom. Its de realization or depersonalization. I have it also. For me it is caused by depression/anxiety, but there are many possible causes. Do some research on this to see if it seems to be what you are experiencing. I hope this helps you figure things out.....

You are not a real person? You are dead? When you died? Ask someone the date of your death. :-))
Think you are character reader. That means you love to read the character or behaviour of others. That is why you may love to feel that you are zombie. Do your own work. Also leave reading books or magazines which brings that kind of thinking. It would have been better if you mentioned your age also

There's nothing wrong with you as long as you realize that you are not dead, not a corpse, and not a zombie. It sounds to me like you don't have a mental disorder, but that you have low self esteem or some depression.

That actually is a legitimate condition, although I can't remember the name right now.

Cheer up because if you have a mental disease, chances are almost certain that someone else has had it.

dead zombie disorder. Sounds like you need another party. Ever do the monster mash? Lol. Also the zombies were a good group!. Hope this gives you a laugh'.

I go through the same thing as you and I second the depersonlization/derealization disorder diagnosis since I was diagnosed with it.

me too it just means you been on the earth before just follow your heart and you"ll find the way

Feeling set-apart from the rest, de-personalized is an 'disease' of perception. I always felt like an alien as a child. Who are these people and why am I stuck on this planet? Would my real parents please come get me. This perception led me to obsessive compulsive behavior to offset these feelings that I didn't have the ability to deal with, alone. Awareness is key, so you are doing perfect by coming here and telling this. You want to change and you want to feel better. I use outside perspective to help correct my distortions. What can you do about being a zombie? Since you appear to be a normal human being maybe just acting like one will be good enough for today, it will. Some of us are sicker than others and we all heal at different rates. I love to laugh at the strange things we do or perceive. Going to a counselor will help and groups that talk about this are great. Well since I'm an alien and your the walking dead I think we're cooler than anyone. You can live a normal healthy life. Sometimes when our perception of ourselves is skewed or false it limits our ability to enjoy life. Ok Zombie when you start to feel bad about being dead call someone with a problem and ask how they are doing and what you can do to help. This gets you out of your head and into reality, what you can do to make things better, it limits your focus on the uncontrollable aspect functional corpse-ism and let's you see what you CAN do. Can you be a happy zombie? Yes Can you be a helpful corpse? Yes. Going to a mental health professional may help with medication while you change your behavior and thinking. Act yourself into a better way of thinking. Smile Zombie. The group thing helps me. I've been an 'alien' all my life, I don't tell people that, sometimes in a group, that's confidential. I've been successful. For me, not learning about my 'diseased' or distorted perceptions and dealing properly with feelings led me into addiction. This is about feelings and how we react to them and how we deal with them. Get help from another, we love to help each other. Love you and thanks for asking.
