Should I see a psychiatrist?!

Question: Should I see a psychiatrist?
My doctor prescribed me bupropion for my panic attacks. They're not working too well and I've been having frequent headaches for almost 4 months. My psychologist said that bupropion doesn't even affect anxiety and that my frequent headaches aren't a good sign. I want to know if I'll be ok taking bupropion while recovering by talking with my psychologist or if I should get help soon for my current medicine.

If your psychologist doesn't think that bupropion is effective in handling your anxiety then yes, I think you should see a psychiatrist so that your medications are handled more effectively for your symptoms. I would make an appointment immediately you may be having side effects with the buproprion (headaches) A warning though, you don't want to just stop taking the buproprian without a doctor's order, sometimes you may have problems if you just stop cold turkey, but yes, I agree Buproprian isn't so much for anxiety but for depression and for smoking cessation. Good luck.

yea its na anti depressant some anti depressants are widely used in anxiety cases
the headaches may be causes by either the medication or aa result of the anxiety

in any case i would go back to your dr and discuss this tell him the meds are not helping your anxiety at all and to discuss all options

best wishes

talk to your psychiatrist and tell him whats going on, maybe he can put you on other meds

You should go see a psychiatristn and see what they have to say.
