Question: Do i have schizophrenia?
.I already been to the hospital 2 times and they have already dignosed me as depressed,
.I have it on my mothers side and they said that i have a 12% chance risk of catching the illness,
.I also studied online that there is a equivalent illness besides schizophrenia which i curable its called psychotic depression, and it seem s that i do have sighns related to that illness, which are anxiety ,mental distress,loss of interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, activities most of the day nearly every day,psychomotor agitation(moving more quickly),diminished ability to think or concentrate, OR indecisiveness, nearly every day. and delusions or hallucinations.
.The pills that they give me makes me feel like i'm retarded and it doesn't even take away the voices
the pills name is (Respidone). I take 2mg, and a 1 1/2 mg every day and there still is no effect. i feel like I'm unable to talk in sentences anymore, just a loss of intellect when under the influence of the pills.
Could i possible have schizophrenia becuase i have gotten depressed and and sick i mean i never smoked before which increases the chances of catching the illness, never had trumatic life experience when i was developing as a kid, the only thing that i had was getting depressed when i was studying in college i would stay up late at night and study all day till like 7 in the morning, and i got depressed with so much stress i had accumulated with taking so much classes and work, so if im genetically at risk of schizophrenia on my mothers side could all these factor give me schizophrenia or psychotic depression??

I want to answer your question as my brother also having the same disease called "Schizophrenia"
The person suffering from this disease isn't crazy at all as someone has said but he needs proper and regular medicine.
Risperidone or Respidone is a good medicine. Don't stop it whatever the doctor has advised to you. You should consult your doctor for what you feel or hear. My bro was previously on Tablets:-
Bexol DT 2mg (0.5/day)
Serenace 2.5mg (1/day) This is for those who get violent and this is like SOS
Seizodone plus (3+2mg) (1/day at night)
The doctor also told/advised him that DON'T ACT ON THE THINGS YOU HEAR. And try to engage yourself in some WORK. Do jogging daily and some light exercise too. That is a part of treatment else than medicines.
Take care! Go to your doctor regularly and don't stop the medicines.
This is the chemical imbalance in the brain and the right medicine will surely feel you better and completely cure very soon.

but you can go back to your dr and explain the issues you are having with risperdone
also do not try to diagnose yourself its a very dangerous thing to do
as i say go back tomorrow to the dr and explain the troubles with the meds

Auditory hallucinations are very typical for schizophrenia. You also sound like you are severely depressed. It is possible that you have both illnesses and need acute psychiatric help.
You're pretty freakin crazy... So you probably have all sorts of mental health issues :)
