I can't take it anymore?!

Question: I can't take it anymore?
I have so much to study for tomorrow's History test , it's ridiculous.
I'm whiney and lame now.

are there any tips or something that'll help you study faster ?

(great category where to post this kind of question , amirite?)
:)

Answers:

Take a break first, go out for a walk for a half an hour , go home , have a bite to eat ..preferably not a living thing...lol..just take it in your stride, if you are whining about it to yourself now nothing is going to go in your head
Watch some youtube vids to do with history , i learn better watching things than reading things

You can only do your best , don't be stressing about it hun. You will be fine , Good luck ((hugs)) xx

Haha, I'm a career student and take it from me, studying for HOURS at a time is a bad idea.

Plan to take a few minutes every half hour or so. Get up and walk around, flip on the TV for a few minutes or go make some popcorn. Give yourself time to digest what you've just read.

It also helps me to type up all my notes. Even if I don't look at them again, having written them out and then typing them out reinforces what I've done.

Eighteen years of schooling, five years of college.

I'd go over and over my notes with different colored pens.

I think I'm a kinetic learner. lol Massive amounts of m&ms didn't hurt either ;-)

Also, if you can find a clue/ a trick/ something that will jog your memory, that will help. Make a rhyme out of initials, numbers, whatever you have to work with.

Good luck!!
PS~ yes, excellent choice of category.

aah, sure you do, honey :))

what kind of History?
which country?

how many questions are there?
what are the questions: dates, names, events, locations?

write down all the questions, or just numbers of questions and study one by one, scratching the one you've worked on out of the list.

Your Test is probably over now but for the next time: Start learning in advance. Say you will devote 1-2h each day for learning and it will go very easy. If you do have to learn a lot, take some breaks, about 10-20 minutes break for every 1 1/2 - 2 h of work. It will make your learning much more efficient!
Hope this helped!!

I used to make flash cards sometimes in college. They also advised us that after we had studied, to take a short nap. The material you have just studied was supposed to somehow stay in your brain if you took a nap. And you do need a break, after all! Have a nice snack too - reward yourself a little for your hard work. I also used to make up word association sentences sometimes to help me remember things. I remember those days, my friend. Hang in there!

Find things you can associate names and abbreviations with. lol worked for my test last week. Also, try not to rush through. go at a steady pace. Be sure to review what you've just gone over. And try to incorporate something you learned in a conversation. :) always works for me

Hope this helps :)

maybe it's late for answering you already? lol
but last time i had philosophy exam and i didnt have time and i didnt understand anything.
i youtube. and apparently they have ton of them and explanation clearly and better than my text book. and i got B+ for just watching those video lol :P

so i suggest you to try it next time ;)

Make a game out of it. Do like an answer sheet and then make flash cards. Or, for example, like put a word on one card and definition on another and try to match them. Or, name to events and such. Don't look at the cheat sheet until you are finished and see what you got right. Do bingo. But that is usually best with two people. Read. Re-read. Read outloud. Take short but important notes.

A break?? Lol...Well...you've asked this question (5 minutes)...you've obviously dropped back in here several times to check up on the responses and award people with Thumbs-Up and edit (10 minutes)...that's a 15 minute break right there miss...now get back to your studies!
You know all this hard work will pay off someday!
Mihai Viteazul (Michael the Brave)...was he really as brave as they say?...:)

Good luck!

i never studied so i have no tips. i've learned a lot about your country by watching old frankenstein, dracula, and werewolf movies this weekend. don't worry so much, you'll do just fine, i have the utmost confidence in you.

i am crazy this way but i re-write all my notes and re-write the whole chapter of history to memorize it and i would guess a game would help a lot

Get some sleep for now. You won't be able to answer anything if you are prone from exhaustion. Next test, start studying earlier. And if possible, study with a friend or a group.

My daughter is taking The Bar Exam today so that she can get her Law License. She has studied her azz off for a month. Good Luck on your test. I love History. It was my favorite subject.

eat peanuts preferably boiled peanuts..this will stimulate you brain while studying..trust me, ive been doing this sine i was in grade school until i graduated in college with flying colors.
