Question: Why I want my ex back if I have the attention of very handsome and nice guy?

I dumped my ex an week ago because he was verbally abusive to me on a few occasions. Im going out now with very good looking and nice guy. My ex was not good looking at all and we were together only one and a half months. He was very serious to me but I could not tolerate his verbal abuse and broke up with him just before Valentine's day. Since then he did not attempt to contact me and I guess he is mad about me because he spent a lot money to shower me with attention and presents. The guy I am seeing now is very good looking and treats me very nice. But I still think about the ex and every time when the new guy texts me I am hoping the text is from the ex. I go to cinema with the new guy but I am thinking of the ex and want to be with him. What's wrong with me?

Maybe your just not ready for another relationship yet.
There's still your whole life ahead of you so don't be in a huge rush.
You did the right thing for getting out of the old relationship and knowing that you are better than to be abused in any way.

You could try talking to the new boyfriend and tell him that you might not be ready quite yet ( sometimes it's good to have some time alone and single). Some people need time just being with themselves so they can think - mentally get over the other guy.

The new one and yourself could just go on a break ? That isn't the best idea , but I understand if you don't want to break up. Make sure he knows your over him, you know you are.

Simple: You have unfinished business with him.

It's very easy, you want what you can't have..
