Most certainly.. I if you tall that therapist that you're harming yourself, you're a candidate for neuroleptic drugs. Neuroleptic drugs are conveniently now called anti-psychiatics, but are really "nerve seizing" sedating drugs which will induce sedation so you won't harm yourself anymore.
They don't work, the neuroleptic drugs will incude violence, hostility, rage, and literally rot your brain, leaving no scars.
Neuroleptic drugs which are used by corporate psychaitrists cure nothing, and only make the barbarian quack psychiatrist and Big Pharma filthy rich while they experment with their patients or "victims"
Think of it this way, if you're not fully honest with your therapist, how are they going to fully help you?
And if they do, it is not the end of the world by any means. You'll be with other kids your age, like you. You'll meet all walks of life and everyone is really supportive in each other's personal growth. I have a friend who went to one for depression and she said it help so much. Not just the fact that they'll get to know you better so they'll know how to treat you better but it put her own problems into perspective. She was 13 when it happened and there were kids her age already addicted to drugs and other things. It helped her to know that even though her situation was bad, she was more thankful to be alive.
You really need to tell your therapist, dear. You'll be so glad you did.

If you're deemed to be a threat to yourself, your therapist may recommend you are admitted. Even still, since you are a minor, your parents would have to provide their consent. I think that you are missing the point though. What is going on in your life that you are addicted to cutting? Those issues are what your therapist will focus on. Your cutting is just a bi-product to what is happening in your life.
no, but if u get caught doin it they will send u to an instituion for a couple of weeks to evaluate you
EDIT- dont listen to the ppl above they dont know what they r talking about, a therapist cant do anything about the things u have already done. You could tell them u killed some 1 and they couldn't do anything cuz of patient confidentiality, now if u told them u planned on killin some 1 that would be a different story
my cousin cuts 2, and just got sent to an institute on wednesday, he has been about 4 or 5 times, but they always release him after about 2 weeks cuz he is not considered to be insane
not necessarily... unless of course you are still cutting. it is called self harming and for that you would have to spend some time in a psych ward for help. it would be for your safety. you are in need of more than just a therapist. you need to be seeing a psychiatrist for help also. there are medications that can help you. please remember that you are going to a therapist for a reason and that reason is for help. if you are not totally open and honest with your therapist he/she cannot fully help you. i see one on a regular basis as well as a psychiatrist for my problems.

this is a good link that explains it all. I have been inpatient many times for bipolar disorder and reactions to psych meds, and I agree with this therapist - you have to be in a total emergency, or the hospital won't admit you. Pretty much suicidal, homicidal, drug reaction, etc.
No she won't send you to the hospital. She will probably just tell your parent/s and will talk through with it to you and try and resolve the problem. The only thing you will get out of going to the hospital is sitting in bed for a day or two bored stiff having a lovely chat to a few staff members. You already have the help you need so there is no point.

I told my counselor I cut and hey I didn't go to hospital.
if thats your picture i see on your account, i would do the samething dont be scared your so beautiful, God gave you a pretty face and iam assuming a pretty body dont harm yourself like that. But he cant send you to a hospital unless he thinks u might kill yourself
I am 16
When I told my therapist that I cut everyday and thought about committing suicide everyday (not anymore) she didn't. I don't think they will because you're not trying to kill yourself, but I guess it depends on the severity of your self-harm.
P.S., you should really stop before it gets even worse.

They will, but its only until they've determined that you don't want to do it anymore, so it will only help. Just go :)

No, they won't send you to a hospital unless they think you are going to die from the cutting. You should tell your therapist, it will definitely help you.
Yes but you need to go. Self harm is a classic behaviour relating to low self esteem and you need help to overcome it.
Just try to sneak that statement in but i doubt he/she will send you to the hospital.
