Question: How much sleep do people generally need?
Answers:

Contrary to what others believe you actually need 9 1/2 - 10 hrs. of sleep, especially for students. You go through several stages while sleeping (4). And the REM sleep cycle is the most important. If you get less than 7 hrs of sleep you wont be able to answer word problems etc. because your sleep cycle hasn't been completed. If you go to sleep during the day take a nap for a maximum of 20 minutes. Go to sleep at the same time everyday too (if you can). It will help you sleep better! Hope I helped.

8 hours for younger people. 6 hours when you get older. But my Mum told me she heard a Doctor tell her that we don't even need to sleep atall. Just resting was enough. Don't know about that myself. I love my sleep. And I love my dreams too (not all of them - if they are nightmares I don't like them of course).



It depends on the person, but usually about 8 hours.



Ive always been told 8 hours, i myself get about 5 a night and run fine.
