It's really common for people your age to pick up cutting as a type of release to the newfound stress of the world. Honestly, I picked up cutting at around your age as well and quickly got over it without much of a struggle. Pretty soon you'll start to find new ways to distract yourself and realize that physical pain isn't worth it after all. Jackets, hoodies, or arm bands are good ways to hide it until it heals.

Cutting is definitely not a healthy behavior but it isn't too unusual these days. Everyone has different numbers of cuts and it really shouldn't be a competition because all self injury is a sign of a deeper issue. As long as you're stopping, you can put makeup over the scars and wear bracelets or wristbands.

You aren't weird for cutting. You should probably get some professional help though. I've been clean for six months now and life can get better. :) I hope it does so for you too.

Your not crazy but you do need help. Not only crazy people cut, but it is normally a cry for help or to try to feel something over just depression. Its always a good idea to tell your councilor if you cant tell your parents. Its good that you have one friend helping you but try to tell some more of your really close friends as a good support network helps a ton.

Your not crazy, but cutting is irrational. It doesn't actually do anything to solve the problem. I'm not sure what you mean about the every cut thing but I have a lot of scars from cutting myself in the past. They are VERY ugly. Hiding them? Well... you can wear long sleeve clothing until they heal and use creams to reduce the chance of scaring. If you didn't cut very deep the scars will likely fade. But if you cut deep they will be there for a very long time (if not always).

You are not crazy--you are depressed and need to find better coping skills. A psychiatrist is a doctor who specializes in this and I recommend you go and be evaluated. You may have it in your family and it may be a genetic thing, requiring medication.

there is a law about cutting yourself. Its called attemped suicide.i am sure you dont have the money to bail yourself out. Even the bible speaks about that! Look under (cuttings) and (do not !) do that mess again! People will think you are on drugs or something!. What you need is to talk it out. I mean like yesterday! For your attitude and condition are serious. You need to work very very hard on this.and seek help a.s.a.p.

I cut and I'm 12 I have 63 scars scattered across me. You could hide them with arm warmers, bracelets, draw over them when there scars, coverup, and long sleeves. You are not weird believe me.

Well I can tell you i've cut myself over a 100 times, for a weird reason i write the date down and how many cuts i made that day course no one knows about it. Just were long sleeves and jeans, wear braclets, cover them up with writing on your arm, make-up after they scar up a bit. No, your not weird, its just away for us to show how we deal with our emtion. Your not crazy.
Yo, David, people like you piss me off, and fyi when im pissed i cut, when im sad i cut, when there is nothing wrong i cut. So Shut YOU ***** ING MOUTH. Cause Next time you talk to someone in your life and you do anything that makes them emotional or stuff, you might be the cause of making them cut. So do us all a favor and SHUT up! -Thanks so much
