Anyone really spaced out on medication now?!

Question: Anyone really spaced out on medication now?
I'm on an antipsychotic a couple mood stabilizer and anti depressant and feel really drugged up. I've felt very sedated in the past and cured that with some coffee, sleeping every third day. but on this combination I'm spaced out, I can hardly tell when I'm asleep or when I'm awake so I just end up resting a lot. Caffiene doesn't work anymore it just gives me panic attacks. I suppose this way is better than the alternative but I'm going to get pretty sick of it soon if I can't work or study or even go out and socialize.

Answers:

Yup, I hear you. I'm on seroquel right now along with some mood stabilizers and when I started taking the seroquel (anti-psychotic), I felt like a zombie. I couldn't do anything. Give it some time to get better, and if it doesn't, you may want to consider speaking to your psychiatrist and finding a new combination. My situation improved, only because I won't take my day pills anymore, just my night ones. I get by, have anxiety, but I get by. Talk to your doctor.

That sounds terrifying to me. Don't settle for that, there has to be a better way to take care of your illness. Meet with your doctor asap and discuss other options. You can't live like that.

I'm not spaced out, I just feel kinda flat, dull and foggy, I started taking lithium about six weeks ago and I don't think I like it too much.

No, I dont use that! I take Fioricet with codeine which works well for all my conditions.
