Question: I am obsessed with pills and I'm banned from the pharmacy.. Will my psychiatrist prescribe me pills if I ask?
I was banned from the pharmacy last April by a psychiatrist at the hospital because of too many overdoses... and somehow that stupid ban is still in place.
I only saw this new psychiatrist twice, once in September and once in October, and she wouldn't prescribe me any meds.. because she says the risk of me overdosing is almost 100 %... but I see her Thursday and I need the pills. I need them. I want them. I need them to OD.. Is there anything I can tell her to have her call my pharmacy, remove the ban and give me pills.. I need them. I would kill myself the second I leave the pharmacy.. I need the pills
My counselor wants to come with me to see the psychiatrist to make sure I don't get pills and to make sure my psychiatrist knows how obsessed with the pills and death I am..
I don't know what to do.. And if my counselor comes and tells the psychiatrist everything, am I going to be taken to the hospital or something, because I am NOT going back there
Answers:
You do not need any medication if the only reason you are trying to obtain them is to overdose on them.
I agree with both you counselor and your psychiatrist that you should not have the medication, but if you were given the medication, it would be on an as needed basis by someone who would only give you the medication as it was prescribed, and not allow you to have the entire bottle of pills at one time.
You do not sound stable enough to have the responsibility which is involved when it comes to having medication in the home.

Its the attention not the pills. Hope you feel great about yourself taking up a hospital and an ambulance while poor little granny or kiddie with breathing problems a couple of miles away has to wait for you to get to hospital first. Your must feel great being so irreplaceable
You need to go to the Hospital, you are not well, they will give you pills there but they will monitor your intake so you don't OD. Sounds like the perfect place for you.
Get yer friends to fill one of their pill bottles up with TicTacs. You're crazy so you won't be able to figure this out. And, you'll have sweet smelling breath & a sugar high!

If your current psychiatrist does not feel pills are appropriate for you then they will not be prescribed, you asking for them will of course have no influence at all.
