I need to do my speech tomorrow...?!

Question: I need to do my speech tomorrow...?
I feel like I shouldn't be nervous to present because my classmates have to present to but, why am I like this? Why are people like this? Any tips for tomorrow or tricks?

Answers:

Practice your speech until you can say the whole thing with your eyes closed; you'll be less likely to forget any of it. When you're giving your speech, talk more slowly than you would in a normal conversation; it might sound weird to you, but your audience will appreciate it. Beyond that, just realize that your classmates probably won't kill you if your speech is bad (unless it's REALLY bad...). At least a few of them are just as nervous as you are. Good luck!

Well giving a speech is always tough. There are lots of tricks, you know about the one where they say while you are up there, just visualize the audience in their underwear.

Actually what that does, it takes your mind off your nerves.

If your the type of guy that can laff at themselves when they screw up, your going to be fine, just go with the flow, and remember you are the one with all the answers to your speech. You did the research and you wrote the speech. Your classmates have no idea what you are going to say.

Do not worry about getting every word correct as you wrote it, just make sure you make your point. If you screw up, just keep going or correct yourself and go on.

Hates doing speechs, but does alot of them.

Stage fright - completely normal. Practice it in front of a family member a couple of times. They can tell you when you need to slow down or other helpful hints. Preparation is the key! Good luck. I am sure you will do fine!

Just relax. Imagine everyone in there underwear, that what I do. Also be confident in your speech, think "I know Im going to do well". It helps.

Just practice the night before and dont worry, I had to make a speech in front of my class, and when I was reading it, the nervousness went away! Good Luck!
