Obsessed with a killer?!

Question: Obsessed with a killer?
I've bee obsessed with Dylan Klebold, one of the Columbine shooters. I felt pretty bad about myself when I admit to myself that I was obsessed with him. I'm not obsessed with his actions, and don't condone and of it, but I'm obsessed with his personality. I never knew him, but through his writings which all are over the internet. I've felt like I know him and relate with his somehow. All I do is think about him and read about him. Is this some sort of mental illness? Thanks.

Answers:

I wouldn't consider it an illness.

I'd say you identify with the life that he had. (Prior to columbine). Unfortunately there are many people who experience the same situations in High Schools all across the world. The only difference is that most people learn coping mechanisms that give them the ability to deal, endure, or change their situations.

There is no problem with relating with him. Like I said, there are many who can. But use these feelings and thoughts you have about Klebold to help you. You can learn from his mistakes. Be a better person. Try to find a way through life that doesn't take you down such an evil and dark path.
