I feel Depressed and out of place....?!


Question: I feel Depressed and out of place....?
I hope i don't sound weird or offblanace or something but i don't know lately i've been not acting like my natural loving human self. I kind of feel disconnected from human behavior. I've stop doing what i'm use to, and lost my own voice. You know the songs, "Come back to me" By david cook, and "You haven't seen the last of me?" by Cher? Those are the songs i kind of feel like it and i don't know how to get back to how i was before, i mean a normal 18 year old shouldn't be feeling like this. I should feel like i have the world in my hands i have so much to live for. Like i use to copy people and see how they live their life and do my own thing and get life experience from them kind of thing ya know what i mean? Like do you ever get the feeling like your becoming something your not? I think i just need to talk with people that share the same interest as i do and stick with that...i don't know anymore i feel lost. How do i come back to my own natural human self? Don't get me wrong, I know who i am and everything I just idk it's a weird feeling, i guess. I"m not crazy or anything i think i just have low self-esteem right due to the fact i'm not doing so well in school like i use to and ive lost track of everything that i use to live for.

I felt the same way when I was your age. It's a lot deeper than you think. You must have done something that was out of your character, and now you feel lost/confused with yourself because of it. If you hanging with the wrong people, you might wanna take a few steps back. You might have to find something descent to do with your time, like joining a club or whatever you into. Make new friends that you might have in common with. Stop trying to fit in, and start making better choices in whatever you do. Usually when people feel lost is because they don't know what their future holds. You need to set a goal and accomplish them. Your life is too short to not have anything to live for. It's your life. If you not happy with yourself, than figure out what's not making you happy. Figure out what's causing you to feel depress. Once you figure yourself out, than life will be so much easier.

You are telling me symptoms of severe depression. I am going to be blunt do you have plans of suicide? Do you have a plan on how your going to do it? If you answered yes to either of these two question you need to seek medical attention and dial 911 immediately! There are people who are trained to help you and you are certainly not alone. Depression is a serious problem that affects millions of people everyday. Depression is a tough battle and sometimes it takes time to get back on your feet. Coming back to yourself can be a long road but it can be shorter if you see a psychiatrist as soon as possible to assist you in moving forward with your life. With proper therapy, self realization, self coping skills, cognitive behavioral therapy,and possibly medication you will win the fight against depression.



Your not weird..iam going threw the same thing...the only thing i can guess is its life..your 18 your almost but pretty much a adult..reality kicks in..you have a lot more responsibilites now..if you find out let me know.i used to be full of life and people used to talk about how they have never seen me without a smile on my face i havent heard that in awhile..used to i would hear it several times a day everyday but i havent heard it in awhile and iam trying to get back into it..just dont know how...but thats all i can figure is your becoming an adult now and dealing with a lot more.
