Is it a sign of OCD to want to write stuff down in your calendar?!

Question: Is it a sign of OCD to want to write stuff down in your calendar?
I feel like I have to write every little thing on a calendar that happened during the day. If I miss one little thing about what happened, or how I felt about what happened, I am afraid something bad will happen? My calendar doesn't have any space, and it takes a heck of a lot of time and energy to keep this up. Does this sound like a symptom of OCD?

Answers:

A lot of people have OCD type behaviors, but it doesn't merit a diagnosis unless it is seriously interfering with your life. If you decrease overall anxiety, that might decrease your need to fill this calendar up. try more exercise, socializing, learn to meditate, take hot baths.

also, there is moodgym - free computerized cognitive behavioral therapy by australian nat'l university. it's kinda fun. they give you lots of little tests looking for "warpy thinking"

Unless this problem blows up and starts affecting your daily life in a serious way, I wouldn't go shopping for a diagnosis. It could affect your ability to get health insurance, since you will then have a pre-existing condition. If you do end up needing help, therapy is the best treatment for OCD.

That is a sign of OCD, but it doesn't mean you have it. OCD will usally cause you to have an erge to do stuff, such a making sure a light is off when you go to bed, but if you dont check it will drive you crazy. you might have OCD but depending on how bad of an erge it is to write your stuff down on your calender will show how bad it really is.

My friend has OCD

Possibly, but it could just be that darn calender is ruining your life, taking up alot of your time & just making you worry, i say BIN IT, THROW IT AWAY RIP IT UP AND DONT WORRY, ofcourse nothing badd will happen xx

i guess but it seems like its not harming anything
