Question: I'm head over heels for a complete and total psycopath. help?

on the outside, she's nice, beautiful, and as innocent as a child. but i watched her torture and maim animal by cutting off their legs, and stabbing them with pencils and shanks. i had been dating her for awhile before knowing this. also, she's been raped and abused by her father, who's dead now. out of curiosity, i asked her what would happen if i broke up with her, and she said she'd probably go crazy and kill us both. so breaking up with her isn't an option. not that i really want to... that's the problem, i love her too much to let her rot in prison, so i don't want to call the police to her. she and i are happy together, but it still bugs me about her insanity. not to mention, she can't trust anyone, including me, well enough to have sex, but she wants kids one day. i want to get her help, but she's scared of doctors, hospitals, and she's paranoid of her illness. she knows she's crazy, but she won't actually admit it, and she's afraid of other people saying it. so she's psychotic, childish, sadistic, paranoid, murderous, suicidal, and plus she's got a knife that she carries around with her. from what i see, my hands are kinda tied. got any ideas of who to call? and please, for the love of god, don't say ghost busters!

well to be honest a person in her position needs professional help. i really think you (or does she have any family which she is close to? or friends?) should sit her down and tell her very gently, and not at all threateningly or patronizingly that she may need some help and you will come with her to see a doctor. i mean she almost definitely should be on some kind of medication or be seeing a psychiatrist otherwise she can be a danger to you or herself. if she has family which she is close to, they are in probably in a more appropriate situation to say those things, especially if you two are not that close/ she doesn't trust you/ your relationship is in it's early days.

Well for her to 'torture and maim' an animal should be enough for you to realize that you are datuing a very unstable and potantially dangerous woman. When she says that she may 'kill you both', if you break up with her--I would seriously take that to heart.
If you love her--truly love her, you would want her to be healthy and safe.
She needs help.

Being with a borderline woman is no fun. You may try some mood lifting actions like walking/jogging/swimming/treadmill and prefer vegetarian food. Mood lifting fruits and berries may help a lot because they are not considered as medication. Blueberries, papaya, mango, pineapple, walnuts and almonds
