Yes, bipolar disorder can sometimes cause hallucinations, particularly if you are having a serious manic episode (and less commonly, if you are having a depressive episode).

Hallucinations (things you see/hear/feel/smell/taste that aren't really there) and delusions (beliefs that are very strong but that do not match with reality at all) are called "psychotic features". Other mental disorders, as well as the effects of some drugs (prescribed or illegal), can also lead to hallucinations and/or delusions.

I would suggest you discuss your concerns with a psychiatrist or another medical doctor. They can help you figure out what is causing the sounds you hear and also help you figure out how to deal with them so that they don't bother you.
