I get really embarrassed when i have to say titles of bands or movies?!
Question: I get really embarrassed when i have to say titles of bands or movies?
if i say i want to go to the cinema... and somebody asks me what i want to see i get so embarrassed having to say the title of the movie! no matter what it is! i usually just vaguely say 'oh it's just a horror' or something
and if i am listening to my ipod and somebody asks what am i listening to? i can't bring myself to say the name! i just say 'nothing i was just turning it off' or 'i don't even know!' when i do...
i know this sounds odd... is anyone else like this? :( or have some advice? i don't even get why i do it.

Are you perhaps subconsciously afraid that people will judge you based on your opinions on movies or music?
i think everyone feels that at least a little. especially when people have such widely varying tastes when it comes to music and movies. you might just be afraid they won't like what you are listening to.
also if they are people you don't know, like strangers or people you don't normally talk to, then it could also be that you are trying to avoid a conversation. i get the same way when i'm reading a manga at the train station or something and someone i don't know asks me what i'm reading i'll say "just some manga, it's a Japanese comic thing."
