Why I still feel guilty?!

Question: Why I still feel guilty?

I have seen my ex boyfriend today. He came to deliver some things to the place I work. I broke up with him 10 days ago via text because he shouted at me on the phone and that was not the first time he was doing this. I sent him a text not to bother me anymore. Anyway when I have seen him today he lighted a smile to me asked me how am I but I was so cold towards him. I even did not ask him how is he. He seemed to lost a lot weight. Now I feel so bad. I feel like I hurt him so much and I feel so guilty for it. Why do I still feel guilty. I know we have no Future together. We are at different "levels" Im professional , have good salary , big house, nice car. He is a driver , low paid job, live with his mother, broken old car. The worse was he was pulling me down to his level. I realise all it but feel so so guilty.

You make me very glad I'm at a different level too. I rent, have no car, work in a warehouse..... Funny though, I'm actually quite a nice person - you ought to try it one day.
Don't feel guilty - he probably lost some weight as he's back on the market and I'm sure he's happier that way.
EDIT. With respect to his weight - it may make him feel more attractive and it's not your opinion on him that counts anymore, now is it?
