Is there a mental disorder with a characteristic of not liking anything new?!

Question: Is there a mental disorder with a characteristic of not liking anything new?
Like. I only liike 1 band, 2 book series and 1 tv show. Nothing else. I hate new things. I just don't like them. I can watch and listen to them over and over and over again and never get tired of them. I know it's not normal. Is it a characteristic of a mental illness?

Answers:

It sounds like a personality disorder, which is just a maladaptive way of relating to the world.

Are you easily hurt or embarressed? Do you have few close friends? Do you stick to routines to avoid new and possibly stressful situations? That's Avoidant personality disorder, arcording to my psych text book. Although its completely possible that it's something else. A psychiatrist would be able to help you find the origin of your problems and help you to become more comfortable with new things.

Could be a few things. How are you socially? How are you with communicating? Could be characteristic of autism/asberger's, but that would heavily rely on how you are in social situations. You could also be obsessive/have OCD/something similar...

It could be cainophobia or neophobia.
