I am so sorry that you are in so much pain: my heart goes out to you. I have a daughter about your age and the thought of her suffering like that would break my heart. I can only imagine that you are feeling isolated and alone; that the more lonely you feel, the more you self-harm, and that the more you self-harm the more lonely you feel: so that it is a vicious circle that you feel you can't escape from. It feels as if your behaviour is in response to a lot of confusion and hurt that has built up in the last year or two and I can only imagine that you feel you can't talk to your mother, for whatever reason, and that this is making it all so much worse. It is all too easy for someone to tell you to 'talk to someone' but if you don't feel there is anyone who will understand then how are you supposed to do that? Which is why you're asking for help here on Yahoo, right? But can you rack your brains and see if you can think of anyone at all that might be approachable? Is there a teacher who seems particularly sympathetic? Or an aunt you adore? Or your grandmother (often so much easier to talk to than our mothers). If you really can't find anyone, you could always try one of the listening helplines: the Samaritans, or Childline: someone there will definitely listen to you, not judge you, and not tell anyone else what you say or feel so it's safe, and private, and free to call too. Here are their links:
http://www.childline.org.uk (you can also chat online here too if that feels safer at first)
www.samaritans.org (you can call them at any time, day or night, 24 hours)
Also this site might help you understand your behaviour a bit better:

I hope this helps. The darkest and most difficult times of our life are often in adolescence: it is so hard being a teenager. Please try and get as much help as you can.

Try talking to your mum or dad or someone else you trust.
Also, try and get a counsellor, maybe you can ask teachers at school.

try talking to your parents, a friend or a teacher you can trust, they will give you loads of advice and help you through this, trust me :)

Talk to your parents or a teacher.
