Question: Paranoia ? im scared to even be in my kitchen alone?
im a 14 year old male, and i know it sounds ridiculous , afraid to be in his own house alone when its locked up and everythings secured.
well i have been trying to get my sleep schedule on track and i stayed up all night up untill now and its 11am. i have a headache haah. earlier my brother was upstairs and i thought i heard him yell my name but he said he didn't and its because im sleep deprived. that im hearing things. im not going to bed. im going to try to get throught this day......
but right now he had to go to work and im alone at home. homeschooled so i dont go to school. but i was cooking chicken for lunch and i couldnt' even finish cooking the food because i was so paranoid that someone was watching me or hearing things crack outside because of the wind.
i don't know, someone help. is this paranoia ? am i paranoid? or just sleep deprived.?

people are fighting in wars and you are afraid of the kitchen........ jesus

It sound like you are paranoid because of being sleep deprived! Try not to use any caffeine after 5pm and see if this makes a difference. Take a warm shower or bath before going to bed. Turn off all electronics at least an hour before going to bed. If you continue to have problems sleeping, ask your mom to make an appointment with your pediatrician or family doctor for a check up.

You're a freak. Get in the kitchen!

Does this happen even when you've had enough sleep? If so, you should talk to your doctor. If this is the first time its happened, then for sure its just because you are sleep deprived. Your body needs rest, right now!! This isn't good for you to stay up all night. If you want to set a good sleep schedule, just start tomorrow, but go to bed NOW. The best way to set a good sleep schedule is to stay up all day. But you stayed up all night. This isn't good to keep staying up now even though you are having headaches and getting scared. I think you should start it later and do it gradually. Like, sleep now for about 8 hours. When you wake up, stay active. Exercise, clean, do homework, don't sit and watch tv for now. Then go to sleep as early as you can tonight, but it will probably be late because you slept all day. But that's okay. When you wake up tomorrow, look out the window at the daylight and then stay up and active ALL DAY and by tomorrow night you'll be plenty tired to go to bed about 10pm. I have this sleep schedule problem and I know what works best. Good luck. Eat something now and go to bed.

Sleep deprivation makes you feel all of those things and if you don't get it sorted you end up with worse headaches and hallucinations!.
You need to wear your body out and then it releases chemicals that make your body sleep. Try going out on your bike for a few miles or go jogging or swimming, anything that gets your heart pumping. If you can get into a routine of physical exercise then that helps a lot. I find pretending to be asleep is a good way to nod off. Just pretend someone is watching you (shouldn't be hard seeing as how paranoid you are LOL,) like a film crew making a film and you have to convince them your asleep, so let your body relax into a comfy sleep position and let all your muscle relax, all of them, then make your breathing slower and deeper like a sleeping person. Let your thoughts relax and go off on their own tangents, don't keep daydreaming as this keeps your mind too active. Soon you should drop off

Things to avoid:-
Any drink with caffeine in.
Too much/any food after 7pm
Stuff that makes your brain too active so things like action video games or action films and even action books can cause your adrenalin levels to rise.
Drugs from the doctors, worst thing ever, a load of side effects and as soon as you come off them you cant sleep and its worse then ever.

Hope this helps.
