Does anti-anxiety help with shyness/nervousness&low confidence..and subcribe!

Question: Does anti-anxiety help with shyness/nervousness&low confidence..and subcribe it for that reason?
Ive got very low confidence...and i get very shy and nervous quite alot.

and when i say nervous..i mean like my leg shakes, and i go bright red..and i have a little panic attack.

So would the GP/doctor subcribe anti-anxietys or somone similar?

Answers:

Yes, your doctor will prescribe something, but I'm not sure what because of your age.

Most doctors would recommend therapy, not medication for shyness and self-confidence issues. It sounds more like an adjustment problem than an anxiety condition.Medications for anxiety are strong and would not work the same for a person who is reserved rather than high-strung. CBT is a good choice for embarrassment in social situations, which sounds like what you have. I am a nervous person too and anti-anxiety meds just put me to sleep.

Anti anxiety meds do not help with shyness or confidence.. But the nervousness, yes. I'm on atavan right now and it works wonders. I take them before I go to the grocery store and I feel at ease
