I am very lazy and can't focus on anything?!


Question: I am very lazy and can't focus on anything?
Lately I've been getting more and more lazy, and now it has gotten so bad that I just sit there panicking on the inside about everything I have to do, but still not doing anything about it. I used to be a straight A student, but now I am getting C's because I always have late/missing/incomplete homework and its really hard for me to study for tests without getting distracted. And the laziness is for everything, homework, studying, chores, even meeting up with friends. Btw, I'm not depressed and don't have ADHD.

Does anyone have really good any tips for breaking bad habits? Nothing I do seems to work :( I really want to do well in school, so I can get into a good college. I know everything I should be doing, the hard part is actually concentrating on the work to get it done.

You might wanna make an appt with your doctor... physically, it could be a simple vitamin deficiency or something else zapping your energy making you feel lazy or mentally you may be soooooo overwhelmed with trying to be perfect, getting straight As and such that you are literally frozen and unable to get things done. Been there done that. The pressure can be so overwhelming. Good luck.

Good habits: Hang out with the kids that get good grades. They get that way for a reason, so hanging with them will rub off on you!!! They will encourage you to get the work done, will work along side of you and not chill and distract you! They are a great place to get good study tips, get great notes from and get good study guides!! Great grades are often gotten by working as a group or a team. In college, I buddied up with a few kids. We each worked on different aspects of our school work and then traded. Like, I took the best class notes and had the best handwriting to read those notes. Another, read and outlined the text books. While another made up great study guides and quizes. That way, none of us had to do all of the work and we all benefited!!



OH ****, this sounds like what i'm getting like! I think it's because getting A's is too easy, we need to make life harder.
Drink water...seriously it really does help. And wake up early! If you get your day started and work finished early you have more time to be lazy, it's a win win situation. Or find a friend to study with, it's a great way to socialise and learn.
I really feel for you, today i've done no work and i'm kicking myself because now i'll have to do it tomorrow :/



I have a similar problem, but I don't get distracted to easily. I have trouble really concentrating.
Put yourself in a quiet room, or have your parents take you to a library (where they're actually quiet)
