Alcohol and anxiety.?!

Question: Alcohol and anxiety.?
Firstly, please forgive me for my English grammar and spelling!

While drinking alone, I got an overwhelming feeling of depression, which sadly I know can be a bad sign in and of itself of overindulging on drink. I've drunk alone before but never felt as down as this.

This time I started to feel really bad about myself, my life and how I could have changed it, and had a more productive life. I started to breath heavily into the palms of my hands, every breath made me feel more "grounded" I suppose is the word. My chest felt like exploding at one point, and I literally thought I could feel my bones shaking!

I think I’ve felt anxiety before, but not like this, it felt more real and penetrating.

Please, I feel as if I’m self imploding and I ask for any advice, I consider myself to be a good person and I just want to salvage some part of my life.

Thank you.

I

Many people think about the past and about what might have been. They want to go back to some point in time and change it, so that the present would be different.

If you feel so badly about yourself, it may be that you don't have enough support from the people around you. I'm not going to suggest making more friends at this point, because if you could, you would, but you sound like you know yourself pretty well. You also know you need advice.

You should take to a professional counselor who has experience with the problems you are facing now. You might get some good advice. Some people would listen and some wouldn't. Hopefully, you're the former type.
