Question: Does anyone know how successful hypnotherapy is in treating anxiety? Also is it available on the NHS?
Answers:
I tried hypnotherapy, privately, it did not work.
I found the techniques didn't work, things like anchoring, clapping your hands together and shouting stop, it all turned out to be a placebo process.
And the advice doesn't sooth either.
Also I never actually managed to be put into trance state, that may just be me though.
I think you probably could get it over the NHS depending on what area you live, alternatively it cost me £50 a session for my private one, and she came to my home which was helpful.
I say give it a try, everything is worth trying once, and it may work for, but don't expect too much.
Hope this helped x
