Help! Whats wrong with me?!

Question: Help! Whats wrong with me?
I tend to daydream all the time, its like my whole life is only based on daydreams, this have made me very unsocial, i can start daydreaming at anytime, i might even be talking to someone but its like my mouth is the only part of me talking at all cause my mind might be somewhere else. But now is like i can both be in my imaginary world and in the real one at the same time..its so weird. Im also always nervous around people; and i always tend to say something different than what i might be thinking to say. But its not like im nuts or anything because know perfectly well whats reality and whats not! I daydream for hours and hours at a time wandering around my room and I don't know time passing. And I cant stop for some reason.
I've been thinking that i might have some kind of disorder... does anyone know any psychological disorder with these symptoms?
Still its not like i cant control the daydreaming, i can, its just that my life seems to be better when i daydream.

Answers:

If the daydreaming is so much that it does not allow you to keep your focus on a task, you most likely have a form of ADHD that is called Inattentive. Most people associates ADHD with hyperactivity and think of people with ADHD as people who are moving and very active physically and can't sit still... but there is a form of ADHD (which is more common in females btw) that is the In-Attentive type. These people do not more around so much physically, but their mind can't stay still to the point of not being able to focus on a book for example of more than a few seconds.... If you have this type of ADHD, there are medications for it that a psychiatrist can prescribe... You can also have a chinese medicine doctor give you herbs ... they are not as effective as meds. but have less side effects.... anyways, your first step is to get diagnosed for ADHD ... go see a doctor and have them test you. Good Luck.

I have ADHD (inattentive type) myself.. So years of suffering and life experience.

I agree with Alley. I think you're totally fine, but if you think it's holding you back from doing something you want then stop daydreaming, but honestly you probably aren't missing much.

Nothing is wrong with you. It just means you have a very open imagination.

you are just unhappy and dont like your reality, people like you sometimes have imaginery friends

get more exercise,,, and as they say, 'get a life'.

What Alley said...
