I unintentionally make my friends feel inferior to me. Help?!

Question: I unintentionally make my friends feel inferior to me. Help?
I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm very strong academically. I'm not necessarily more intelligent than most people, but I'm a good test taker.
I got 209 on the PSAT with no prior studying and made all of my friends feel like failures. They all scored about 40-70 points lower than I did.
I take rigorous classes intended for upperclassmen and make all A's. My friends don't have great grades and I always make them feel inferior. I frequently feel isolated from them because I'm the only one who does well in school.
I don't intentionally make my friends feel like failures. Sometimes I downplay the grades I receive just to make them feel better about theirs.

Answers:

You should not feel guilty about being a fantastic student. When your friends ask how you did say "eh ok". When they get good grades make a huge deal about it, especially if you know they studied hard. You should not have to dumb it down but if you think your friends are uncomfortable with your achievements just don't talk about it. Focus on what they are doing, boyfriends, plans for the weekend, etc. I say you plan a fun trip for you and your friends. You need to consciously steer clear of any academic talk that is focused on you make it about your friends.

Smoke some weed and drop some acid so you get dumber lol
