Whats a good reason to be on depression?!

Question: Whats a good reason to be on depression?
I just think there are some people out there who are just depressed for no reasons, they just put themselve in sad mode and stay there and blaming everyone, when they dont even have the right to be sad. Its just rude, to people who are depressed for a valid reason..

All those people who are not depressed for a good reason should stop it. and be happy. some people have difficult life that your not suffering. So stop being selfish and be happy and appreciate!

Answers:

People can become depressed because of imbalance of chemical in their mind, as i was told. Also popular one is with reasons... some can get over it, some cannot..

Its a sad world we live in, and so people just become sad.. some learn to cope, move on, look at the bright side, but some just cannot, they either cannot get over it, or insecure to make that move to change. because some people are afraid of change and has gotten used to their depressed lifestyle.

there really isn't one good reason to fake any kind of mental illness. people generally don't want to be around u and they just expect you to snap out of it and really don't understand it at all. u spend most of the time alone where your mind keeps telling you all the wrong things and your doing all the wrong things and there is absolutely nothing to look forward to. Life is just a drain, your a drain, and it seems like everything u do to climb out of this hole is met with a dead end.

28 and dealing with mental illness since childhood

i hope that some day you go through a depression and see how people think of you. depression is an illness. it is real whether it is short term or long term. i suffer from severe depression myself so i know what these people are going through and i take offense to your cavalier attitude towards it. the reason doesn't have to good or bad. it is a chemical reaction in the brain. i think that you owe people with depression an apology.

seevere depression person here and i don't whine and cry about it. i see a psychiatrist and a psychologist about it.

Some depression is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Thats something that cant be helped. It must be a nice view of the world from your pedestal, is there much bird poo up there? PS you should get in touch with the local church as you are such a Martyr they might stick a cross up your mad bumhole and have done with it.

Depression isn't always situational. We have chemicals in our brains and when there is an imbalance people tend to be depressed. What do you think the medicine does? activate a happy button? O.o

Sometimes you can't help being depressed... look up clinical depression. I mean, I'd love to be happy every single second of every day, but sometimes it just doesn't work like that.

I dont respect people who are depressed or care how their life will be, because its their life. If they want to waste it on being Sad, then its only bad for them. Not me.

**You cannot be "on" depression. It's a mental illness, not medicine, and not furniture.

There is a BIG difference between being depressed and having depression.
The former is a feeling of being sad. The latter is a mental illness that can really fu *ck with your life.

Edit: Aah, did you not like my factual information? Darn, maybe you can cry about it. Also, the definition of "mental" is "of the mind." It is impossible to be a person of the mind. There is not a difference between mental illness and depression because depression is a mental illness. I should know; I have it. So, we're "negative" because we know what depression is and you don't? Intriguing
Wait, you just said, you stand by your BELIEF. A belief, by definition, is not a fact.
You are a DEPRESSED person, not a person with DEPRESSION. See my above sentences. Also, how are you "apprently" depressed? Did someone just tell you that you were?
Yes, I do know the point of seeing a psychiatrist (applause for proper spelling?) and/or a therapist: to get medicine and therapy to rebalance the chemicals in my brain that cause my depression. If I wanted to change my viewpoint, I'd go to a different church.
You can think positively and be happy even if you have a bad experience in life. I was molested a few years ago, but I still had fun in life.
If you really didn't care, then not only would you not have posted your question, but you also would not have continued pressing the "add detail" button.
I am not negative or sad. I am simply enjoying arguing with a troll/idiot, depending on which you would prefer to be called.
Ah, poster went away. Now I "truly" have a reason to be sad. You've ruined all my fun now. Don't you want to keep arguing even though you're wrong?
My goodness! You must need to completely reread the entirety of my (now quite lengthy) post, if you don't know what I'm arguing about. I was molested, BUT I did not get DEPRESSED. I have depressION, but that has nothing to do with molestation. If nothing else, reread the first four sentences of my post.
You didn't ask a good question, you didn't ask a question at all! You were ranting.
If you have no time for immature people, then how do you find time for yourself?
You think mental illness if wrong? Well, darn, and here I was thinking that something you can't control getting is perfectly moral.
I don't pity (oh my goodness, I can spell!) idiots. Nor do I judge what someone is allowed to have an emotional response to. Many people with depression DO try to change. That's WHY they go to therapists and such. Lazyness is not a mental disorder. Please don't confuse the two.
Hey, YOU'RE CORRECT! It's not a disease because a disease is caused by a pathogen! However, it IS a mental illness.
My unwise? I didn't realize I had an unwise.
Technically, you aren't talking to me, so that shouldn't be a problem.
I think a lot and I make perfect sense to people with sense.
I'm not trying to make people happy with my post. Even so, my post makes me happy because I enjoy pointing out the flaws in the arguments of idiots.
I am neither upset nor sad; I am entertained by your inanities. And if you still think I'm negative, then you REALLY need to reread my post.
I mentioned it because you were being retarded, which you still are. .. Duh.. Am I surprised? No.
I am not depressed. I have depression. (first four sentences of my post). Everyone is weird.
I have a reason for my depression: chemical imbalances.
I think you're rude, but you're too amusing for me to report.
Seeing as I have been diagnosed (twice in fact!) with major depression, I think I do understand other people who have it.Based on all of the answers, people with real depression don't agree with you. You should go to a doctor. Delusions (even of grandeur) can be symptoms of many mental illnesses.
I'm not sad. Sad is an emotion. Going to a psychiatrist allows my depression to be treated.
I really couldn't care less whether or not you're smiling. I'm amused and that's all I care about. My answer is perfectly reasonable to those who have intelligence and sense.
If you were a positive person, none of your post would be insulting. Oh, wait, that would mean that your question couldn't exist, because you're a troll/idiot and insults are the basis of your life!
Oh, geez, and here I was worried that you wouldn't give me permission to have my own thoughts. Then again, you added a "detail" a while back saying that you were done, so if I keep typing, then you'll go back on your word (again) and keep responding! :)

Yay troll is back! Much as you would love to do so, you're not going to infuriate me, just amuse me. Trolling is extremely childish by the way. I am incredibly happy because it is so much fun to refuse to give trolls what they want. I feel a powerful stupid energy in you! :D Clearly you do have time 'cause you came back!
