Can you advise me on alcohol?!

Question: Can you advise me on alcohol?
I do not know why do it, I drink like a fish, then wonder why I feel so ill. I guess, to help with depression, but I end up more depressed. They say, if drink is costing you more than money, there is a problem.

Answers:

I was in the same boat man, start lifting weights haha I have no desire to drink because i'm so motivated to get the body i want

You may have a genetic predisposition to it--and it has become an addiction.
Alcohol is a depressant and very addictive.
I would advise that you stop, as it can only make you more depressed.
Check out Alcoholics Anonymous, and read up on addictive personalities for more insight.
Best wishes.

you really should make sure you are happy sober before you use drinking to make you happy - as you know it doesnt really, not afterwards especially...

good on you for being honest and asking though, and noticing that it seems linked to depression :)
just work on yourself a bit, start a new hobby, or something you love doing so THAT can be your outlet - you just need to find a new outlet :)

once you enjoy doing something again or feel proud in something you are achieving your depression should subside.. but if you are SERIOUSLY depressed, go talk to a doctor or counsillor, PRAY, even if you are mad at god or dont believe in him - you will see ;)

life experience!

First thing to do is realize why you are depressed. Then, you have to make the mental choice to restrain yourself from doing it. But you should probably deal with whatever is making you depressed first. Drinking amplifies, not reduces, your emotions.

Actually even the money it costs is a problem.

Move to a country where booze is cheap.
