How can I stop freaking out or having panic attacks?!


Question: How can I stop freaking out or having panic attacks?
Okay I'm 13 and I will be sitting watching tv and out of the blue,I have a panic attack that lasts for 2 or 3 hours!!I feel like I can't breathe,my throat gets tight,my chest hurts and I can't think right.I freak out about the littlest things like walking in the door at school or walking in the classroom.I am scared that all this stress will cause me to have a heart attack young.How can I control my panic attacks or stop them?(The has happened since 4th grade,my panic attacks)I feel like my life is being wasted because I am in constant fear.Please help!Thank you!!

Smalltown girl, I also have panic attacks and they are scary, I finally got to where i controlled them instead of letting them control me, when i start having one i will go and lay down all the while controlling my breathing, deep breaths exhale slowly and know in ur head that you are not gonna to die ( even though it feels like ur) I have never heard of a panic attacks lasting for hours, mine are gone from 20-30 min. If none of the above work then a doctor's visit to find about what is happening. Good Luck

you must have some underlying problem that is causing this feeling, maybe its depression maybe something else, you need to see a Doctor

Go to a doctor. You probably have some kind of medical condition that makes you do that.



maybe you should see your doctor to make sure a physical problem aint causing your attacks
