Appendicitis worry!!!?!

Question: Appendicitis worry!!!?
I was recently watching a programme and a guy had a scar on his right lower side. My mum said he had his appendix removed. Ever scince i have been constantly worrying about the small possibility of getting appendiciis - vomiting, extreme pains, and being cut through on an operation to get an appendix removed. This factor worrys me the most as i am very quemish (like fainting at sight of blood etc) and would hate a scar to remind me. I know it probably wont happen, but there is always an Element of worry. It is ridiculous i kno but can someone help me. I would real appreciate it thx.

Answers:

Sounds like anxiety to me, I would go and see a doctor and see if you match any other of these symptoms:

?restlessness
?a sense of dread
?feeling constantly 'on edge'
?difficulty concentrating
?irritability
?impatience
?being easily distracted
Your symptoms may cause you to withdraw from social contact (seeing your family and friends) to avoid feelings of worry and dread. You may also find it difficult and stressful going to work and may take time off sick. These actions can make you worry even more about yourself and increase your lack of self-esteem.

Physical symptoms
The physical symptoms of GAD can include:

?dizziness
?drowsiness and tiredness
?pins and needles
?irregular heartbeat (palpitations)
?muscle aches and tension
?dry mouth
?excessive sweating
?shortness of breath
?stomach ache
?nausea
?diarrhoea
?headache
?excessive thirst
?frequent urinating
?painful or missed periods
?difficulty falling or staying asleep (insomnia)

It may also be paranoia? Maybe look up the symptoms?

Hope this helps and good luck :)
