Question: Why cant i remember what i read?

its really really difficult for me to remember what i've just read. For instance, right now i need to read a few pages for a class, but i read it, and it goes right through my head, and i cant even remember the jist of it. I used to be able to remember sh*t like that. Am i just really bored with this? its starting to affect my grades. Someone help? and im an 18 y/o male

The same thing happens to me if it doesn't interest me most likely I don't remember it. What I try to do is just focus and write down the major details on a piece of paper. Maybe go into a quiet spot and just basically be determined after all its for your grades. You mentioned ur 18 so your probably a senior u just dnt feel like doing any work because its your last year of school lol

the work doesn,t interest you. you,ll have to outline everything in order to retain info. i had to do this for a metallurgy class. i used to outline 40 pages per week. it worked.
