could you go to multiple psyciatrists to get prescribed the same medication?!

Question: Could you go to multiple psyciatrists to get prescribed the same medication?
I'm currently attending one psyciatrist and i have a prescription for alporozam. is it possible to go to another psyciatrist and get prescribed the same thing? like, if he says are you taking any meds, and i say no i'm not... is it possible for him to know that i'm already seeing another doctor and prescribed a medication w/ out me telling him? (please dont comment any holier than thou bullshit comments about why i might need more than what im already taking, jus answer the question.. or dont)

Answers:

Yes, you can. But, that's called doctor shopping and is a felony. Do as you will though.

Kyle, quit being such a dick about this. It's not the psychiatrist that you have to worry about, it's the pharmacist. IDK if they are electronically hooked up like here in the states, but if they are, your dual prescription(s) will be flagged and both Dr.s will be notified, leaving you with nothing since they will see that you can't be trusted.

What you can do however, is tell your current psychiatrist that the dosage needs to be titrated so you are getting the results.
