How can i get more comfortable talking out my issues with my therapist?!

Question: How can i get more comfortable talking out my issues with my therapist?
im talking out my mental issues with a therapist and its hard to talk out my issues even after having done so for several months, partially because ive always kept to myself so just talking in general is hard, but talking about my mental issues with a stranger is almost impossible yet i manage to push through the anxiety, is there any way i can get more comfortable so its not so hard?

Answers:

Tell her just what you've told us. Your therapist is there to help you, and can't do that unless she knows what's going on with you. If you're having a hard time, explain that it makes you anxious and uncomfortable because you're just not used to talking to strangers about your problems. When she understands this is hard for you, she'll be able to help you find ways to open up.

By thinking that he/she's only there to help, not to judge you. This is always the hang up with therapy. They hear all the same stuff, so you're nothing different, nothing special. You're just another patient with issues.
