Thinking problems?????!

Question: Thinking problems?????
Lately I've been having trouble thinking straight, reading things, or remembering things. Im 15 male. Normally I can finish a 100 page book in like an hour but, lately It takes my 20 minutes to read a sentence nad it make sense. I'll also be telling a story and then forget completely what i was talking about in mid sentence. I normally have a lot of patience and focus. What could be wrong? And how can I fix it?

Answers:

If you're stressed about something or there are major changes going on in your life, it can cause you to feel distracted and have trouble concentrating. Unless you've been hit on the head recently, it probably isn't serious and will go away on its own. If you can't figure out an environmental cause (like stress), it wouldn't hurt to see a doctor.

It sounds like you may be suffering from ADD. Have you ever had this problem before? My nephew was just diagnosed and my boyfriend suffers from it too. It can affect any age group. Are you comfortable talking to your parents? I would definately sit down and tell them whats going on. They might be able to offer you some support. There are many good websites pertaining to ADD, read some of them. Maybe you can take some articles to your parents and that will help as well. If not your parents, another family member you trust or a teacher and/or counselor. This can be hard to understand, but trust me, there are many things out there to help you, including medication. Im not a doctor, but this is what it sounds like to me. But you need to be professionally diagnosed by someone with a medical license. Good luck hun!

Maybe you need more nutrition in your diet. Exercise also helps the brain and body. Prolonged stress can cause memory problems, but imbalances of all kinds occur when you're 15 too. Try to take better care of yourself.
