Question: Did it really take me about 7 years to grieve a death?
When she died I was not their I was at my Grandpas house for a week. When we came back my mom told us. I was balling my eyes out, and would not like to talk about it! (like right now im starting to have tears) but i would not talk to anybody about it! So whenever somebody talked about her I would leave the room or start to tear up. But now i dont leave or tear up, and I can talk about it to anybody!
Did it really talk me 7 years to get over her death?

I think it's natural. I'm sorry for the loss.
My mother died in 2006 and there is hardly a day that goes by that I don't think about her. The bible says death is an enemy. Think on the resurrection of Jesus. It tells us that He arose in Matthew 28, and by His resurrection, Jesus unlocked the grip that Satan had held over the grave. As He had proved His power over Satan in life, so now He proved Himself the victor over the grave. Because He arose we know that no grave where one who believes in Christ is ever so sealed, but will be opened up again and Christ will bring him forth to life again.
The Bible says that every eye will see Him when that happens. He's coming in glory and power and all the angels in heaven will be with him at that time. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16 it says that the trumpet will sound, the graves will open, and Christ will bring forth the dead. What a day that will be.
He will resurrect His sleeping saints! Here we have the basic reason for His promised return. "I will come again... that where I am there ye may be also..." John 14:1-3. Even though His children sleep in the dust of the earth, His call will reach their slumbering ears!
